The Marketplace Growth Senior Project Manager, will design, plan, and execute key initiatives and activities, to enable marketplace growth across banners. In collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout our banners in the UK, France, Iberia, and Poland, the Senior Project Manager will define and build solutions suited for each market. The role offers the unique opportunity to lead growth initiatives leading to increase the marketplace business share across online sales, as well as develop a deep understanding of the marketplace.

Activities I do to deliver my role: 

  • Get a deep understanding of the marketplace dynamics and competitive landscape to identify opportunities to grow the business. 
  • Optimize existing mechanisms to identify high quality and high potential marketplace merchants. 
  • Work closely with the banner leaders on designing the catalogue product range strategy to drive best-in-class Customer experience and maximize revenue growth. 
  • Identify, analyse, and work with the banners to bring recommendations and improvements regarding our catalogue product range in terms of skus by category. Detecting gaps and new opportunities. 
  • Manage a program of high-impact operational projects (e.g. pricing benchmarking partnerships, scrapping, …)  
  • Develop projects and initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams across the international organization (including the marketplace teams, digital, retail, marketing, supply chain, and finance) and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines for high visibility projects. 

 

Profil recherché

Skills needed to deliver my role: 

  • A clear entrepreneurial mindset, creating a new business model within a large €17bn GMV organization. 
  • Proven experience in developing original ideas, approaches, and solutions to typical, unusual, or difficult situations in a competitive and ever-changing business climate. 
  • Personal initiative and strong hands-on attitude along with creativeness, decisiveness, and results-driven mentality for a business-focused way of thinking. 
  • Experience on managing and leading international digital projects within ecommerce, retail or travel marketplace industries.  
  • Experience in working in a multicultural team and organization.   
  • Highly organized and results oriented with a high degree of ownership. 
  • A skilled and experienced influencer capable of navigating large and complex organizations to generate positive change. 
  • Excellent analytical capabilities. 
  • Experience working in SQL/ETL/Python/Power BI, Tableau and MS Excel (Macros, statistics, etc.) 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Fluent in English and at least another of our used languages within our group (useful to set relationships) such as French, Spanish or Polish. 

Preferred qualifications and experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, finance and/or retail/consumer products industries. 
  • MBA from top tier business school is highly preferred.
